Professionalization contract
The work-study internship program at IGS falls within the framework of either a professional contract or an internship agreement.
This allows companies to hire an employee who will alternate between taking classes at IGS and working at the company in a capacity related to the qualification sought.
The professionalization contract is fully or partially financed by the OPCA (Organisme Paritaire Collecteur Agréé - French joint commission for collective training) of the sector to which the company belongs.
It is meant for anyone from 16 to 25 years of age and job-seekers aged 26 or above. The contract must cover the entire training period. It may be a fixed-term contract (CDD) or an open-ended contract (CDI). The interns have employee status. Their pay corresponds to a percentage of the SMIC (minimum wage) defined by the sector. The company receives reductions in employer contributions called "Fillon reductions".
