The International Voluntary Service in Business Program (VIE) allows a company to assign a student or recent graduate under the age of 28 to a job in another country for a period of six to 24 months. The placement can be renewed once during this time.
The V.I.E contract receives national and regional aid such as import / export credit and export insurance guarantees (COFACE). The objective is to help businesses to break into international markets by providing them with financial support and protecting them against the risk of failure from these actions.
To make it as easy as possible to access the V.I.E. program, UBIFRANCE has set up support solutions tailored to corporate issues and problems. To find out more click here.
| "Awarded a Masters 2 degree in HR development management, I applied for a VIE placement in São Paulo with PSA Peugeot Citroën (the company where I had done my internship). My career is now up and running, starting off with one of the richest and most fulfilling experiences possible... There are many challenges to face, such as learning Portuguese, handling new tasks, and joining new teams. I love the rush of adrenaline I get from this experience! VIE is a leading form of expatriation and a contract that provides young graduates with many advantages. In addition to discovering a new country, its population, and its culture, it can be a real springboard to a career. Today I hope to continue in this direction and work in this international environment that I love so much." Marie-Amélie Wintrebert, RMDRH 2009 |
