IGS chose to base its teaching methods on the professionalization of each student.
Each program offered by IGS (Professional bachelors degree, Professional Masters 1, Professional Masters 2) has a significant period of 4 to 11 months, depending on the curriculum level, devoted to an internship.

Internship objectives
Internships target the acquisition of technical and working skills in one of the following HR fields: Personnel administration, payroll, training, recruitment, information systems, skills, or compensation.
They allow students to explore formal and informal business relationships, and learn about employer expectations, rules in force, and the organizational and cultural details of each company.
Project content, structure and validation of internships
Project tasks vary according to training periods.
Professional Masters 1 Program - Bachelors degree year (Bac +3)
The student's internship responsibilities must allow them to apply the knowledge that they were taught in their classes about personnel and/or payroll administration.
The internship lasts 6 months, from April to September.
Students must write a Professional Activity Report (RAP) and defend it in front of a panel made up of IGS representatives, a mentor, and an HR professional in order to validate the internship and earn 10 credits.
Professional Masters 1 Program - (Bac+4 year)
Ideally for a general position, the project focuses on one or more Human Resource fields in connection with teaching modules studied throughout the year.
The internship lasts 5 months, from May to September.
During the internship, the student receives double support from a mentor designated by the host company and by a second mentor designated by IGS.
At the end of the internship, the student must submit and defend an applied research thesis that focuses on an HR issue faced in the host company.
The panel is comprised of IGS representatives and two company HR representatives.
The validation of this stage earns you 20 credits.
For your information, the validation of courses and internship during the two years of the Professional Masters 1 program (Bac +3 and Bac +4) requires a total of 120 credits
Professional Masters 2 Program - (Bac+5 year)
The internship must be part of an existing project for change in the host company.
During their internship, the student will complete an organizational and human diagnosis, followed by recommendations aimed at improving managerial practices.
The student must prove that they know how to use investigation and data collection methods in the field, as well as be able to lead a brain-storming session.
Such internships require autonomy and initiative that will allow the student to improve their technical and relationshiop skills.
The internship lasts for 6 to 11 months, from June to April, depending on the option selcted and the host company.
At the end of the internship, the student must submit and defend an applied research thesis focusing on the field of management and human resources development.
The panel is made up of a representative from IGS and two HR representativies.
This internship is validated in two steps:
- Validation of the thesis for 20 credits
- Validation of internship completion. This evaluation if carried out like a true professional evaluation (were set goals reached, improved skills, professional conduct). It is carried out as an interview between the student, the company mentor, and the school mentor.
Internship validation earns 10 credits.
"For the 4th consecutive year, we have had the pleasure of welcoming interns from IGS.

The purpose of this internship was to supervise the entire " summer assistants" project: assessment of training methods, identification of applicants, creating files, writing contracts, operational and administrative follow-up, relationships with Entity directors, and more ...
This project requires autonomy, organizational skills, responsiveness, good interpersonal skills, and in particular, the ability to adapt quickly to the company's culture and operations.
These are the qualities that we have been able to find in students from IGS and which continues to give us renewed confidence in the school.
Constructive interactions and the accessibility of the school's team reinforced our choice so that we will call on IGS for other types of projects. »
